The cache is in a tree on the rural land of Hercegszántó, not far from the Mary statue.(16x16x7,5 cm)

Introduction:
We invite you to Hercegszántó, to a Hungarian village in the southern part of Bács-Kiskun county, not far from the Hungarian- Serbian border to see the biggest Mary statue in the world! The statue was consecrated on 13th October, 2008.

The surroundings:
This place has been a shrine for a long time among the catholic inhabitants of Serbian nationality of the village. There is also a small chapel and a well here. According to an old story, once a trully religious man saw Saint Ann, the mother of Saint Mary here in the water of the well. A willow was planted then and a lot of pilgrims came to this place. Lot of healing is said to happen here as well. A man, whose blind son got well, had a Mary statue built in gratitude near the chapel in 1933.

It is 10,53 cm high, and it took 2 years for István Rigó, a sculptor from Pécs to make it. It is made of stainless steal sheet, the head, the hands and the feet are cast steel.
