This cache was placed to say thank you to all South Island cachers for placing caches in locations with excellent views and interesting history. Who needs a tour guide if they have a GPS? 
I missed out on a few caches because I didn't understand the hint - look under the Tussock. Under the Flax bush. In the fork of the Cabbage tree. What??? I was imagining a Cabbage tree being a tree with large cabbage-like leaves... and failed to find that cache. As a Queenslander, I'm used to figs, pandanus trees and bottle trees, to name just a couple.
Now, you can check yourself if I've identified a tussock bush - because this cache is surrounded by tussock.
Feel free to add to your logs any hints you found difficult to understand in other countries/states. We could start a dictionary!
The cache is a 200ml container, and when hidden contained three geocoins as well as a few Aussie flags on toothpicks, a padlock, wrist band, toy soldiers, a stubby holder, mobile phone pouch, small torch, toy car and a Sesame Street character (the guy who keeps counting).
Thanks to hoskina for maintaining, and for relocating as my original spot was too close to other waypoints! Also thanks to GYARGH for replacing and moving it slightly when this cache was discovered by locals.
And, a big thank you to 8ManAfter for replacing it in January 2012!!!
