A walk along the Sea Wall Public FP - please note that the co-ordinates given are for the Car Park
Continuing the exploration of the Rural Area around the Wash Coastline at Holbeach St. Matthew.
At this point the Sea Wall is set well inland, and the walk enables you to see across the Salt Marshes to the distant Sea. .
Along the Sea Wall pathway you are able to walk in both directions. To the left you could follow the Path towards Fosdyke Wash and the River Welland; walking to the right will take you towards Gedney Drove End, passing RAF Holbeach and the Air Weapons Range. The Range is still active at times, SO DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS WALK IF THE WARNING FLAG IS FLYING.
Whichever direction you go, we have other Caches for you to find – GC1H71C, Moulton Marsh Wander and GC1H3DH, Gedney Drove Wander.
You will need to obtain the information to work out the Cache Site co-ordinates from the Ministry of Defence Board, located at the Stage 1 waypoint.

The Cache can then be found at: N 52.53. Q1, Q2, Q3 E 0.05. Q4, Q5, Q6
It is located close to the Foot Path; a small lock & lock rectangular plastic box. When set the Cache contained a FTF Certificate, log book and pencil, and an activated TB. Also small items to swap.
This is a relatively quiet area, although we did encounter some Dog-walkers.
For the benefit of future Cachers, it would be appreciated if retrieved TB's or Geocoins could be replaced by a similar item. Many thanks.
Congratulations, Mimi & Bod - FTF!
