This Hidden and Dangerous? cache is different to its hidden radio mast predecessors because there is not a hidden radio mast. Well, if there is, I can’t see it!
Ground Zero is on the north side of the A27, a few hundred metres east of the junction with the A22; the site of the old abandoned Treacle Mines.
Yes, really! There’s a hotel there with that name, so it must be true.
This 35mm film pot cache is very near to a public footpath (running west and east) that is near to the very busy A27 main road. It is in a place, a little north-west of the icon on the map, that requires slightly more than the usual physical effort to reach it.
There are no roadside parking places on this part of the A27, and it has a soft verge, so if you really can’t stand the excitement of the risk of being mown down by the local Boy Racers, or you are simply in a rush, you can park at N50 49.72, E000 14.644 and walk a whole 200m to Ground Zero.
But don’t look down if you have vertigo.
If you use the Additional Hint: completing the first part before attempting to cast any light on the second part is a good rule to follow.
Congratulations to the BrambleWalkers for being FTF.
