Geocache Description:

This cache marks the start of the access road to one of the finest holiday beaches in Northland. It is also a place long occupied by the local Ngati Kahu ki Whaingaroa people. I remember Connie's dad telling me of his years growing up here, living in a bivouac in the bush, with horses and boats as the only means of transport.

The cache is a plastic coffee container which when hidden contained logging paraphenalia and small swaps. Also, Mr Oinky the Travel Bug.
