Geocache Description:

Description for updated hide by Goban_Cinderella (Transplanted Texans in Rhode Island):

When we first moved to Rhode Island this was one of the first hides I tried to sniff out. Alas, once I got up the hill I found a small tent city so I could not get close to the cache. Now the tent city is gone (looks like Pawtucket has been pushing them out as the new soccer stadium has been built). This is a very pretty spot and has a nice view of the river. The cache is much bigger now and can hold trackables easily. I have placed themed stickers for finders to grab and as this hide is close to home I intend to keep in maintenanced and stocked up through the years. Thank you geocachers and let me know what you think of the container and the hide itself (This new hide is much more difficult and requires more than just going up deadman's hill).

Original Deadman's Hill description by TJS118:

Deadman's Hill Lives is a replacement of the original Deadman's Hill cache (GCH2NY) due to private property issues. Deadman's Hill is along the Blackstone River. The hill gets its name from the snow sledders that use to slide down its steep slope trying to avoid the trees. The original cache dates back to October 2003 and is one of the older caches in this area. The original cache, log, and items are still in place.

May or not be able to get to in the winter with snow and ice, not sure. Let me know on this as it took a lot for me to get to the hide on a nice November day.

Go to Max Read field on Pleasant St and park. Walk down past the baseball fields to the river. Look to your right and you will see a hill. Climb the hill staying on the trail. The cache will be on the hill before the fence (This is no longer the case!). Please do not trespass onto the private property of the cemetery. Thanks to Liznewton, Tasha, and Samantha for the original placement of this cache. Also, since this cache is in a new place anyone who found the original Deadman's Hill Cache is allowed to take credit for a find.

Congrats to BlackstoneVal and ~Marvalus for co FTF.

Please don't just say "found" or "tftc" in your find note. Let me know what you really think of it. Do you like the container? Is it too hard to get to? Is the hide just too plain evil?

P.S. No need to fear the reaper... Or should you??????
