The Flood Path Cache is found along the Path of the Flood trail tha runs from South Fork, Pa to Mineral Point, Pa. Easy walk and bike trail. Packed surface trail, locals use this trail daily, even during the winter. Cache not far off trail.
The cache is a small, plastic jar-like container, camoflaged, containing only a log. This is not a micro. Cache is large enough to drop a travel bug but not for trade items. The location of the cache is approximately 30 feet off of the trail and you will be seen by those using the trail. Bring a pen or pencil.
This should not be too hard too find. Hunters have been seen ussing the trail to access the hills and valley surrounding this trail. Be on the lookout for the wildlife too.
A few noteworthy items: 1st - Mugglers are common, especially during the spring, summer, and fall. 2nd - The trail has a few placards that provide a little history lesson abount the 1889 flood. 3rd - Please hide very well at same location, again, be very careful not to be seen by mugglers.
Parking is available at the Ehrenfeld Park - follow signs as you come into town. You may ask some of the locals if there is alternate, closer parking. The trail is posted as a bike route. Coordinates are posted below for trail head.
