One inch by 1.5 inch tall cache on a main East/West feeder road. BYOP Off-street parking within feet.
This cache commemorates an unusual day in the life of Chickadee Girl. On a sunny, warm September afternoon in 2006 as she drove home from work, a drunk driver sped into the nearby intersection, broadsided her vehicle and sent it into a horse pasture. She got an ambulance ride out of it (NOT recommended -– if you're hurting, an ambulance ride is VERY uncomfortable) and afterward got to know some local doctors pretty well. About a week after the wreck, still missing her sunglasses, CG returned to the site and found them hanging on the bush sideswiped by her vehicle as it broke through the horse fence. She decided that if a good pair of sunglasses was safe for a week in that spot, surely a cache would be just fine. You shouldn’t have much trouble finding it. And CG? No long-term ill effects, thank the Good Lord and the angels He must have had on duty that day.
