Trail Reader: On Tuesday, my grandsons and I headed for Garrapata to check on my two remaining caches there. As we approached Gate 1, we saw that the entire gate was blocked off with orange construction netting. A "trail closed" sign was also posted. I had hopes of taking the short southern trail to check on the cache and retrieve the container, if necessary. However, that was not possible, so I will archive the cache now. At a later date, if the trail reopens, I will check on the cache and determine whether to bring it back to life. This was a well-loved cache. Thanks to all who visited! Archive.
