*** When looking for the reflective markers, hold your flashlight beside your eyes - they will reflect brilliantly. Otherwise, they will be very hard to see (if at all) so muggles won't see them by accident when going for a walk at night, etc. These Night Eyes are brand new and we are testing them on some awesome night caches in the area. We've used several dozen flashlights to test and the best one to date is the mini maglite (the one that takes two AA batteries).***
When you get to the coordinates (start of a park trail at far end of parking lot, with a big rock on either side), use your flashlight to find 1cm reflective markers at about eye level and follow them. The markers can only be seen at night with a flashlight (they are black in the daytime (a few are white), but reflect bright white at night). After a decent walk, when you see a set of two markers on path that are right above each other, look around 360 degrees with your flashlight and the cache location will reveal itself with three more reflective markers. Cache is behind a large, tall object nearby.
This camouflage cache contains one quarter to start. I kindly ask that you add at least quarter-sized item, but it cannot be a quarter! - so please be prepared before you go for the hunt. The cache container is camouflage so look around with your flashlight, and you'll find it! It's right there!
The park is open the following hours, but you'll find it gets darker on the trails earlier than you think. (Thanks to Huntcliff for the update!) Hours: 8am – 9pm (April – Oct) 8am – 5pm (Oct – April) Park info: https://www.crd.bc.ca/parks-recreation-culture/parks-trails/find-park-trail/francis-king
Parking is about ten feet from the coordinates. CONGRATS TO CASM327 FOR FTF!
