On the Twelfth Day of Cachemas Pofe released to me,
- 12 Glowing Icicles
- 11 Slithery Snakes
- 10 Miles of View
- 9 Sig Items
- 8 Mushrooms Sprouting
- 7 First a Finding
- 6 Piles of Sticks
- 5 Little Green Men
- 4 Sock Puppets
- 3 Bottles of Jack
- 2 Pickled Ferries
- and A stocking up a Tree
A Night Cache and a tough one at that. Maybe the Grinch is
rubbing off on me but this one is un-necessarily long and
challenging including a heart pumping climb up a steep hill. The
hike is a mile loop. I strongly recommend you find this in small
groups – individuals will face extra challenges hunting this alone.
Wait until it is completely dark until you set out to find this
cache.
At the posted coordinates you will find a “glint” trail that
will lead you in the general direction of the cache. This cache has
all kinds of glints. Square ones lead to the cache, round ones lead
away. Red ones - you will have to figure out what to do with those.
You will know when you are near the cache. At some point you will
have a tremendous urge to bushwack - don't... it is much easier to
follow the glints to the cache. As you hike up the hill you will
see a triangle of circle glints. Take this oppertunity for a short
detour to a great view. After you find the cache follow the Round
ones back to parking so you don't have to slip and slide down the
big hill while others are comming up behind you.
Please be careful with the elements of the
cache – don’t let them get wet. You will find everything
you need at the base of the obvious tree under rock or wood tough
you may have to dig in the snow for it.
This is the twelfth in the series of caches celebrating “The
Twelve Days of CACHEMAS”. For each of the 12 days a new cache is
released. In addition to the winter friendly fun each cache
contains a clue to the coordinates for a final prize cache where we
have placed a special gift for you. All the caches in this series
are snow friendly and family oriented with terrain and difficulty
no more than 2 (or at least a descent spoiler clue for the harder
ones). We hope you have as much fun as we did putting this together
HAPPY CACHEMAS from JAMM
