Squeakie! There's a Cache Placed in your honor!
I am doing my own version of the 12 Days of Caching. I am listing one cache each day for the next 12 days. Each cache is dedicated to one of my Geocaching friends and is placed close to where they live.
This cache is dedicated to Squeakie. Squeakie is a hi-tech, experienced cacher who, if you've ever talked with him, sounds nothing like his name. He is patient and generous and is willing to share his geocaching knowledge with others.
Squeakie and I met about a year ago as he FTF'ed my first cache "Helmsdeep" which is placed at my house. He pulled up to find it about 20 minutes after it was published. We chatted a while, became caching partners and have been geocaching buddies ever since.
As my teacher and mentor, Squeakie took me under his wing and taught me all the ins and outs of geocaching. When I would find a difficult hide I remember him saying... "Well done Grasshopper", from the famed Kung-Fu series. He has been with me on well over half my geocache finds and was there for my first geocache event, my first FTF, and my single day geocache find record. Squeakie even presented me with my Golden Ammo Can when I hit 1000 caches a few months ago.
We're both about the same age and have daughters that are the same age also. Our daughters also hit it off and we've taken the girls caching with us on several occasions.
Squeakie is a member of the GOTCHA group, which is an acronym for "Geocachers Of The Central Harrisburg Area", and is also active in the York County Geocaching Society. He has also led a number of geocaching seminars to teach other young novices the tricks of the trade.
Squeakie has been known to cache with Leadsinger, The Shire, Hi-tech MD, the Carels, well, the list goes on and on...
Squeakie is one of many local geocaching heros who has made a name for himself amongst the geocachers of Central PA. I celebrate this local geocaching hero.
Squeakie... This one's for you!
You are looking for a 2-stage micro multi-cache. Stage 1 is easy but stage 2 may give some geocachers a bit of trouble. Make sure to bring your own pen.
