This cache was winter only until Spring 2011 when I decided to make it a year round affair. The number of cachers is low so the total impact will be minimal. Still, please tread carefully.
Here is the original description...
From this vantage point you will have a nice view of the beaver pond and the west facing ridge on the opposite side.
Remember, for every hill that goes up it must come down. Take your time going up, but if the snow is deep and soft just jump into the powder on the way down!
This cache will be disabled once the snow has disappeared. It is off-trail and will get you to a place that would be very damaging to the environment in the summer.
The Top 5 reasons why we love hiking in the winter:
5. You can see far through the trees
4. You can go where you can’t in the summer – like lakes and marshes
3. Animal tracks
2. Bushwhacking leaves no damage, only footprints that magically disappear with Spring
And the Number 1 reason: NO BUGS!!
Enjoy!
