Geocache Description:


In the Treadway Community of Hancock County, northeast of US 25E, not far from Highway 31, on Highway 131, one may find the Clinch Powell Community Kitchens. Here, small businesses may produce their commercial products from local produce. The kitchen is maintained to Health Department standards as a certified commercial kitchen.
This kitchen is a community development and empowerment effort of Jubilee Project, Inc., a United Methodist Mission located in Hancock County, TN. It was initially funded by USDA, TVA, NRCS, Mission of Hope, Hancock County Schools, and United Methodist Churches.

Cache is a small lock and lock container, dressed in camo and hidden against the building on the highway side. It is recommended that you find this cache only during daylight hours, though the kitchen may be rented 24/7. One of our signature geocache necklaces is the FTF prize.

The Gordian Knot quilt square is displayed on the kitchens building.
