Ein Micro am Messeler Museum – das erste Versteck von toko.cache (english description below)
Die Filmdose ist im jederzeit frei zugänglichen Hof des Messeler Fossilien- und Heimatmuseums versteckt, siehe Foto. (Stift bitte mitbringen; auf Muggels achten, da mitten im Ortskern; nachts ungünstig: Bewegungsmelder!)
Das Museum selbst im Historischen Rathaus ist recht klein, aber sehr sehenswert. Es zeigt erstaunlich viele schöne Exponate zu Fossilien und Industriegeschichte der Grube Messel – erstes Unesco-Weltnaturerbe in Deutschland - sowie zur Ortsgeschichte von Messel.
Der Eintritt zum Museum ist frei; Öffnungszeiten (laut Schild):
APRIL BIS OKTOBER
täglich 11-17 Uhr
NOVEMBER BIS MÄRZ
Samstag, Sonntag und Feiertag 11-17 Uhr

This cache called „Last Lorry“ is hidden in the courtyard of the museum in Messel. It is accessible all day all year, but please don’t search at night due to motion detectors. Bring your own pen and beware of muggles since the museum is right in the centre of the village.
The museum of fossils and local history located in the old town hall is rather small, but well worth seeing. It shows amazing many nice exhibits of local history as well as of fossils and industrial history of the Messel pit fossil site – the first german natural site on the Unesco World Heritage List.
Admission to the Museum is free, opening hours are as follows:
April – October: daily 11am-5pm;
November – March: Saturday, Sunday, public holiday 11am-5pm.
