This cache is part of my Alphabet Series. Usually there will be 4 or 5 caches in a given location. One cache is a Mystery cache and the others are traditional. One does the traditional caches first and gathers the information to find the Mystery cache. Each cache contains a number that should be recorded.
The first four caches A, B, C and D are all in the Schooley Park. You should plan on hiking about 2+ miles to get all 4 caches The suggested parking area for all 4 caches is N 39 09.964 by W 76 57.561. At N 39 09.972 by W 76 57.682, trail maps can be found.
When I originally placed the cache, it required a minimum bushwhack of ~300 ft. (Note When I replaced the cache in 11/24, I took a "trail" that came within ~25 ft of cache). If you leave trail from sign post #11, you will be dealing with swamp and marsh. An alternative is to go to sign post #12 (~ 800 ft from cache), take the fork in the trail, & have an easy stream crossing. About 20 ft from the gate, there is a faint trail that rapidly gets better. It will take you within 25 ft of cache.
