Geocache Description:

This is another cache placed on the campus of UNCG.


GEO Map Turtle (Graptemys geographica)


The map turtle is so named because its upper shell, the carapace, looks as though it has a contour map etched onto it.

This cache is placed close to the Geography Department at UNCG. It could be an easy park & and grab, however, UNCG has very strict rules about parking and finding a parking spot may be difficult! Look for parking meters or park just off campus in 2-hour parking zones. Muggles will be everywhere, so use extreme caution and stealth when retrieving this one! This is a log-only cache, so be sure to bring your own writing stick.

I have contacted UNCG Campus Police and informed them of the geocaches located on this campus. They have been quite understanding and accommodating. Therefore, IF YOU ARE APPROACHED BY CAMPUS POLICE, PLEASE INFORM THEM OF YOUR CACHING ACTIVITIES RATHER THAN TRY TO SLEUTH YOUR WAY OUT OF THE SITUATION.
