Geocache Description:

A quick park and grab in Brunswick County, VA

My in-laws (my kids' grandparents) live in the Petersburg, VA area and I've made the trip there from Raleigh on I-85 many many times. Although I like this part of I-85 because of the long stretches of woods it passes through, in the years since I started caching, I've been hoping that someone would put some caches out to break up the drive a bit. There's a long stretch of I-85 here with no caches.

Today, while going over the river and through the (cacheless) woods to (my kids') grandmother's house to pick her (and grandfather) up to bring them to our house for Christmas, sub32 and I decided that we were going to hide a few caches. That will give others that drive by here something to look for and hopefully inspire someone that lives near here or drives by here frequently to hide some others.

This one's just off an exit and just a few feet from the road.

Note: I thought I had good reception, but when I checked the coordinates in my GPSr on Google Earth, they appear on the wrong side of the road. The cache is on the west side of the road. If the first few finders will provide input on how accurate the coordinates are, I'd appreciate it.

My wife and I travel this road frequently to visit her parents and plan to do maintenance as needed on those trips...and if the cache needs maintenance between trips, that would be a good reason to plan a cache run to the Richmond area.
