The cache is a short climb up from the Bear Canyon trail system. The path can be slippery and icy. Not much altitude gain.
This is our answer to Youngcampers' "Full Metal Sunflower."
The cache holds only a log. It is nestled in some rocks a short distance up the south ridge of the canyon. There is a narrow trail paralleling the ridge, from which the cache can be accessed.
Of course, there is free parking at the Emery Trailhead. Trail #305 takes you in the general direction. You can follow 305 to the intersection with aforesaid path, or backtrack west on 365 till you intersect the path.
Very important! Unscrew the top of the container. Don't try any other way of opening it.Please replace the log as found.
