Geocache Description:

The third of three caches I hid today to make for a series of five caches above Shelf Road. This would be #5 in that series. The Caches include Chair Cache, Couch Cache, Top of The Ridge, Chumash Rock and Screw Driver Rock. The hike is not too long but it's steep in parts and it's not the best maintained trail.

Supposedly at one time someone had jammed a screw driver into this rock, I guess in order to make it easier to climb. So me and my friends call it Screw Driver Rock maybe it has another name, you tell me because I don't know of one. The rock is off the trail a little ways but not too hard to get to. The cache should be easy to find. Climbing the rock however is no easy task and I would not recommend it. If you do decide to climb up it you will find on top there are some names craved in it some going back a few years. But remember once you are on top you have to get back down. To get here just keep heading west from Chumash Rock. If you keep following the trail west from Screw Driver Rock it will eventually just stop. If bushwacking does not bother you could keep heading west and you will eventually meet Pratt Trail.
