Geocache Description:

Micro cache hidden on the historic Occoneechee Speedway. About quarter mile hike to the cache location.

The Occoneechee Speedway was one of the early NASCAR Tracks developed by Bill France. Last year the track area was turn into a Trail. The trails are a great walk and you can imagine what things were like with a race going on with the stands and the banks of the track still in place. There has been some work recently on restoring some buildings at the track.

Parking/ Trail Head is located on Elizabeth Brady Rd, just .5 miles north of NC 86/US 70 AE intersection.
