French Gulch......On August 14, 2004, the entire town was evacuated do to a forest fire which roared out of controll through much on Shasta County. A fire destroyed the French Gulch Lodge No. 75, Independent Order of Odd Fellows that was established in 1858. A new lodge was built in 1913 at the total cost of $7,341.13. but was destroyed by the French Fire in 2004.
You have to look south down the road to see the fire engine sign. Please rehide the cache well.
