fuzbill: Times change. This whole wooded area has been leveled! R.I.P. We wonder what the bulldozer operator thought when he dug up this monster!

Geocache Description:

CONGRATULATIONS TO Grahamcracker2 FOR FIRST TO FIND!

About the film:

When GODZILLA, King of the monsters , a Japanese monster movie import, was released in America in 1956, the promotional tag-line was: “Makes King Kong look like a midget!” And if that wasn’t incentive enough to see it, the film featured American actor Raymond Burr, of Perry Mason fame in its lead role! Okay then, how about seeing Tokyo swished by a giant lizard? This film was one of the first to incorporate into its theme the idea of nuclear testing being dangerous. The character of the monster GODZILLA went on to appear in many sequels, battling many opponents including other iconic Japanese monsters, King Kong and even Bambi. America re-made its own high-tech, special effects packed version in 1998 starring Matthew Broderick. An Interesting piece of trivia: the name of the reporter played by Burr in the original was Steve Martin. That should have been a clue.

About the cache:

Just follow the wide gravel trail until you get close and then there's a small bit of bushwacking to a clearing. The beginning trailhead is marked with a "No vehicles" sign. You are looking for a medium sized jar being protected by GODZILLA like an egg full of babies. BYOP. Log only. There are items in the jar, but no pen.
