Simple hide overlooking Currency Creek
The Currency Creek area was initially explored by Charles Sturt in the late 1820s, In the Government Gazette of 20 January 1838, Messrs Y.B. Hutchinson and T.B. Strangways reported that they had named the creek after a whale-boat the Currency Lass, in which they entered it.
You will view Currency Creek before it enters the Goolwa Channel. When the cache was placed the creek was showing all the signs of drought that the Murray River was showing with extended sand-banks into the creek channel.
The cache is a simple hide. Please make sure it is put back securely as the area can get very windy.
It consists of a clip-lock container containing log book, pencil and several trade items, a Bookcrossing book and a Geocoin.
Enjoy the views.
