Having grown up in this beautiful fishing village, many of my childhood memories revolve around the outdoors and the lesserknown places where I spent many a summer day just having fun with some great friends and family. This series of caches will take you to some of these places.
I figured I'd give back to the community by placing a few caches so visitors and locals can discover some of my favourite spots in the Cheticamp area.
During my university years, I would return to Cheticamp in the spring and fish as a means to pay off my education. After long days of fishing in the Gulf of St. Lawrence, this spot would always be the one to first welcome us home.
This will be a quick park n grab but you can take all the time in the world and enjoy the ocean and mountain scenery. This place is a good spot for sunsets. Please keep an eye out for livestock as this is a community pasture site. Please also respect the regulations posted on the large sign as you enter the pasture.
The cache is a small camo'd lock n' lock container. Please bring your own writing device just in case.
