Geocache Description:

Toyanogata park #1

It is a park around a very large sporting house located in the south side of bed Nogata. In the park, the learning institutions such as institutions such as an exercise institution or the canal of the south / north multi-purpose movement open space, the natural habits garden / the visitor house are got ready. In April, 2001, area and the East garden of the Tohoku Electric Power big swan stadium (former Niigata stadium) which became the meeting place of the World Cup soccer meet of 2002 become opening of the park, and it is it with a park having it is wide as a foothold of sports, and a citizen of the prefecture get close.

鳥屋野潟の南側に位置した広大なスポーツ施設を中心とした公園です。公園の中には、南・北多目的運動広場の運動施設やカナール等の施設、自然生態園・ビジターハウス等の学習施設が整備されています。平成13年4月には、2002年のワールドカップサッカー大会の会場となった東北電力ビッグスワンスタジアム（旧新潟スタジアム）の区域と東側園地が開園となり、スポーツの拠点として広く県民に親しんでもらえる公園となっております。
