EBBR 25R Mystery Cache

EBBR:is de 4-letter unieke identificatie code van Brussels International Airport.

25R: De luchthaven van Zaventem heeft 3 start- en landingsbanen. De banen 07L/25R en 07R/25L hebben een lengte van respectievelijk 3600 meter en 3200 meter. Zij lopen nagenoeg parallel. Deze landingsbanen worden gekruist door de derde landingsbaan 02/20 die met een lengte van 3000 meter de kortste van de drie landingsbanen is. Elk van deze start- en landingsbanen kan in twee richtingen worden gebruikt. Afhankelijk van de gebruiksrichting wordt één van de twee complementaire namen gebruikt (25L in de Oost-West vliegrichting; 07R in de West-Oost vliegrichting). De cijfers van de banen komen overeen met de hoek in graden die wordt gevormd tussen het noorden en de vliegrichting van het toestel gedeeld door 10. Letters worden toegevoegd indien twee of meerdere banen parallel liggen. 'L' voor de linkerbaan, 'R' voor de rechterbaan, 'C' voor de centrale baan.

Op de gegeven coördinaten hierboven is niets te vinden. Ga er niet naartoe, het is er veel te gevaarlijk! Daar ligt het kruispunt van de landingsbanen 07L/25R en 02/20. Je kan deze cache vinden op 2 manieren:

(1) Je kan eerst de zuster-cache EBBR 25L (GC1J8QA) oplossen en afleggen. Zo kom je automatisch ook op het parcours van deze cache en zal je deze ook vinden (dus: 2 voor de prijs van 1 … of nog meer) en dit zonder onderstaande vragen op te lossen.

(2) Je kan ook enkel deze cache lopen, maar dan zal je eerst de “eenvoudige” vraagstukjes hieronder moeten oplossen. Indien je onderweg alles nauwkeurig noteert, dan zal je later nog de zuster-cache kunnen lopen zonder de waypoints van deze cache opnieuw te moeten afleggen. Los dus eerst de vraagstukjes hieronder op. Hiermee vind je de eerste waypoint (R5). Het vervolg is een “gewone” multicache, met nog 5 waypoints te gaan (06, 07, 09, 10, R11) en de cache (R12). Het Vreemde Verhaal was mijn bron van inspiratie voor het leggen van deze mystery-cache reeks (zie EBBR 25L).

Het onderwerp van deze mystery verklapt je dat de waypoints niet langs een modderig paadje zullen liggen, maar eerder om en rond de luchtwegen. Het is dus een autocache met telkens een korte wandeling vanuit een “reglementaire” parkeerplaats tot aan de volgende waypoint. Reken op 40 Km rijden en minder dan 2.5Km stappen. Succes!

Nog eens alles op een rijtje:

- Alles is steeds bereikbaar via publiek toegankelijke en ongevaarlijke paden. Laat je nooit verleiden om een andere weg te kiezen.

- Laat steeds je voertuig achter op een toegelaten en ongevaarlijke parkeerplaats! Er is steeds gratis parking, behalve op één plaats waar je moet betalen.

- De te volgen waypoints zijn R5, 06, 07, 09, 10 en R11. Zoek steeds naar Tags. De cache is R12.

- Waypoint 08 werd verwijderd uit het parcours na de gebeurtenissen van 22 maart 2016.

- De cache werd op 17/10/2017 verplaatst: projecteer vanuit R12 een wp op 22m in de richting 255° true north, of corrigeer de R12 coordinaat met N-3 en E-18. Hint: achter de boom.

25R: The Brussels airport has 3 runways. The runways 07L/25R and 07R/25L have a length of 3600 meters and 3200 meters. They run almost parallel to each other. The third runway 02/20 is the shortest one with a length of 3000 meters, and crosses both other runways.  Every runway can be used in 2 directions. Dependent on the direction of usage, one of the two complementary names is used (25L in de east-west flight direction; 07R in the west-east flight direction). The figure used for the runway names corresponds to the bearing in degrees (divided by 10). A letter is added when two or more runways have the same digit code: 'L' for left, 'R' for right and 'C' for the centre runway.

Don’t go at the given coordinates. There is nothing to find, and it is a very dangerous place. This is the crossing of the runways 07L/25R and 02/20. You can find this cache in 2 ways:

(1) You can solve and run the sister cache EBBR 25L (GC1J8QA). This way you will hit the waypoints of this cache and will find this one too, without solving the questions here under.

(2) You can also run this cache independently, but then you must first solve a few “simple” questions. If you take care writing down all that you’ll find, then later-on you can run the sister cache re-running the waypoints of this cache. But first solve the questions here under and you will find the first waypoint (R5). From there on this is a “simple” multi-cache with 5 other waypoints to go (06, 07, 09, 10, R11) and the final cache (R12).

The subject of the mystery cache tells you that the waypoints don’t follow a muddy path, but are around flyways. This is a car-cache with short walking trips from a “permitted” parking space to the next waypoint. Count on 40 Km driving distance and less than 2.5Km walking distance. Good Luck!

Let’s repeat the main points:

- Everything is always accessible by public pathways and can be accessed without danger. Don’t be tempted using another access.

- Leave always your vehicle at a place that is permitted. You can always park for free, except on one spot where you’ll have to pay.

- The waypoints are marked as R5, 06, 07, 09, 10 and R11. You always look for Tags. The cache is R12.

- Waypoint 08 has been removed from the track after the events of 22 March 2016.

- The cache has been displaced on 17/10/2017: project from R12 a wp at 22m and 255° true north, or correct the R12 coordinates by N-3 and E-18. Hint: behind the tree

EBBR: est le code d’identification en 4 lettres de l’aéroport international de Bruxelles.

25R: l’aéroport de Bruxelles-Zaventem possède 3 pistes de décollage et d’atterrissage. Les pistes 07L/25R et 07R/25L on une longueur de 3600 en de 3200 mètres. Elles sont quasiment parallèles. La troisième piste 02/20 est la plus courte avec une longueur de 3000 mètres. Elle croise les deux autres pistes.  Chaque piste de décollage et d’atterrissage peut être utilisée dans les deux directions. D’après la direction d’utilisation, on utilisé une des noms complémentaires (25L dans la direction de vol Est-Ouest; 07R dans la direction de vol Ouest-Est). Le chiffre représente l’angle de la piste en degrés par rapport au Nord, divisé par 10. On ajoute une lettre si l’aéroport a deux ou plusieurs pistes dans la même direction: un 'L' pour la piste de gauche, un 'R' pour la piste de droite, un 'C' pour la piste centrale.

Vous ne trouverez rien aux coordonnées ci-dessus. N’y allez pas, c’est bien trop dangereux ! C’est là que se trouve le croisement des pistes d’atterrissage 07L/25R et 02/20. Cette cache peut se résoudre de 2 manières.

(1) Résolvez et suivez la cache sœur EBBR 25L (GC1J8QA). Celle-ci vous mènera via cette cache ci que vous trouverez dans la lancée et sans résoudre les questions ci-dessous.

(2) Mais vous pouvez aussi parcourir cette cache indépendamment. Il vous faudra résoudre d’abord quelques “simples” questions. En notant bien tout ce que vous trouverez au cours de cette cache vous pourrez par après parcourir la cache sœur sans repasser par les waypoints de cette cache. Résolvez donc d’abord les quelques questions. Ainsi vous trouverez le premier waypoint (R5). Ensuite le parcours est une "simple" multi-cache, avec 5 waypoints (06, 07, 09, 10, R11) et la cache (R12).

Le sujet de ce mystery vous révèle que les waypoints ne se trouvent pas le long d’un petit chemin boueux, mais plutôt autours des voies aériennes. Ceci est donc une auto-cache avec à chaque fois une courte promenade depuis un parking “réglementaire” jusqu’au prochain waypoint. Comptez sur 40 Km de route et moins de 2.5Km de marche. Bon Succès!

Répétons les points importants:

- Tout est accessible par de chemins publics et sans danger. Ne vous laissez pas tenter à prendre un autre chemin.

- Laissez toujours votre véhicule à un parking autorisé et sans danger! Le parking est toujours gratuit, sauf à un endroit où il vous faudra payer.

- Les waypoints à suivre sont: R5, 06, 07, 09, 10 et R11. Cherchez toujours des Tags. La cache est R12.

- Le waypoint 08 a été retiré du parcours suite aux incidents du 22 mars 2016

- La cache a été déplacée le 17/10/2017: faites une projection depuis le wp R12 à 22m et 255° true north, oubien corrigez le wp R12 de N-3 and E-18. Hint: derrière l’arbre.

VRAGEN – PROBLEMES - QUESTIONS

[NL] VRAAG 1. Een Boeing B-737 nadert de landingspiste aan een constante grondsnelheid van 240 Km/uur, en volgt een perfect rechtlijnige dalende koers. Zijn constante daalsnelheid bedraagt 200 meters per minuut. Ik bevind me op 1,2 Km vóór het beginpunt van de landingsbaan en zie de B-737 recht boven mij overvliegen. Op welke hoogte (boven het niveau van de landingsbaan) bevindt het vliegtuig zich op dat ogenblik, als je weet dat het vliegtuig de landingsbaan zal raken op 400 meters na het beginpunt van de landingsbaan?

[FR] PROBLEME 1. Un Boeing B-737 approche la piste d’atterrissage à une vitesse constante de 240 Km/h par rapport au sol, et suit une ligne de descente parfaitement droite. Sa vitesse de descente constante est de 200 mètres par minute. Je me trouve à 1,2 Km avant le début de la piste d’atterrissage et je vois droit au dessus de moi le B-737 me survoler. A ce moment là, quelle est la hauteur (au dessus du niveau de la piste d’atterrissage) de l’avion, si je vous dis que l’avion touchera la piste d’atterrissage 400 mètres après le début de la piste?
