Tom Moore's Jungle is full of sharp edges beneath your feet and thick growth overhead. You will be on a nice path until you go down to the cave area.
You should bring a flashlight. There are a couple of caves you might want to crawl in. But the cache is not associated with stone. You won't need to go into them. Look for thick fallen wood. You are on the wrong side of it. When you get on the right side, sit down on a comfortable log. See it? It's an ammo can.

Every bus that goes between Hamilton and St. George's will stop at Grotto Bay for you. And parking is easy. The lot is just before the Causeway. There's always room.
