Geocache Description:

Nice place to stop and ponder a slower way to travel

It’s 1826 and you are on the new superhighway from Philadelphia to Reading. No longer do you have to endure the bumpy ride on a horse-drawn coach, rather you travel on the smooth waters of the Schuylkill Canal pulled by a mule along with loads of coal and iron on their way to the city. In order to get past intersecting creeks, the canal engineers built aqueducts to carry the canal. Only a few of these remain, this one was restored in the 1980’s.
Park on the suggested parking waypoint off Old Schuylkill Road unless you can walk on water to the side with the gc!
BYOP. The alternate parking area is further away, but provides a flat route to the gc area.
