A simple find on an old clay hill just off the A30. Panoramic views. Very steep and can be very muddy.
Just off the A30 at Fraddon. Suggested parking is in a gateway on the no through road to Pedna Carne.
I would recommend doing this one on a clear day as the views are spectacular - from Rough Tor & Brown Willy to the East, the memorial cross at Camborne to the west, sea Newquay to the North & St Austell bay to the south - truly the heart of the county.
You can choose to yomp straight up the hill then follow the track around to one of the gates or stick to the main path - although this makes it a longer walk. If you want a circular walk, carry on past the cache site & you will get to a gate to lead you back down the hill (this works in either direction!)
The cache is a small clip lock box with pad & pencil & a selection of the usual items.
