Geocache Description:

Monument to Dave & Amy Cook who were pioneers of the district & were married 27/7/1887.
This stone was laid by the descendents 10/10/1982 in front of the original Cook homestead inhabited by the large family.

This monument stands on the road reserve, while the small area East of the pipeline is a proclaimed Government Water Reserve from which water was pumped to the local Hospital & bowling green before this pipeline was built. The well, now fenced off & surrounded by trees, is no longer used, but is one of many in this district that used to supply water from the high underground water table, for stock in nearby areas. How many used or disused windmills can you count from this position?

Cache originally contained farm animals & cooking utensils.
