Geocache Description:

A series of caches which when complete will form a circular walk around Mugswell and the surrounding area.

This is a large series of caches, ranging in size from micro to regular. We have endeavoured to put out the largest cache possible for the site, as we hope that this will give people the opportunity to leave travel bugs and other swaps, and because we feel the area is already overrun with film canisters!

We are releasing the series a few caches at a time. This is both because it is hard to carry that many decent sized caches around with us, and also because we want as many people as possible to have the opportunity to FTF the odd cache or two. We're also intending to throw in an RTB cache along the way, to encourage others to try our other series. For those of you who haven’t encountered our RTB series, they are all unusual cache hides . The RTB on the Mugswell Meander circuit will not need any additional equipment though, so you can leave your Purple_Pineapple caching kit at home for this one!

All the caches are meant to be easy finds, and we've given some quite detailed hints to help you. Unfortunately due to the varying terrain, we do not feel that many of this series will be wheelchair friendly (unless you have a 4x4 wheelchair!) although any that are, will be given an appropriate terrain rating.

In order for you to complete the circuit, you will need to walk along a few roads, some of which may be busy, and most of which do not have footpaths, so please keep hold of geo-dogs and junior cachers. Whilst doing the initial recce for the circuit we encountered fields of horses, cows and sheep, although none of these were around when we actually placed the caches. Just a warning if you like livestock as much as Mrs PP does!

Oh and a final hint – there are a few gaps on the circuit – it may be worth your while solving some of the local puzzle caches in order to fill these in!

Happy Caching!
