Square Dam Traditional Cache

This is a stand alone cache and also part of the
Oaks Scar Multi-Cache GC1KCDQ.
Don’t forget to make a note of the number for the letter C if you
are doing the multi-cache.
The official name of this dam is Holme Mill Dam and it is situated
near Marsden, off Manchester Road. Access is down the footpath at
the back of the public house called The Olive Branch. There is also
access down School Lane. Please do not park in front of the
cottages.
This is the third in a series of caches placed by my young son in
areas where he has fished with the Slaithwaite and District Angling
Club.
His intention is that the caches will be accessible without having
to disturb the locals.
And you never know but if a young lad asks have you found it,
please say hello and ask him if he’s caught anything.
The cache is a 0.33 Litre container and the hint is a real spoiler
as tree cover may affect GPS readings.
