Geocache Description:

The original 3 Little Pigs cache had to be moved so I've relocated it here.
To minimize impact, follow the trail to the area of stage 1. Once you've found it, make your way back to the trail and continue to the road. Remember to teach and practice Leave No Trace.
Please be aware of where you step. There are steep hills, loose rocks and hidden stump holes all over. The third and final stage will lead you to a small ammo can.
It is not in a stump hole ;)

The total distance is 1 mile but could be a little more or less depending on your choice of direction. My 5-year old daughter was with me when I put this out and only needed a hand at stage 1.

No live pigs were harmed in the placing of this cache.

The Laurel Springs Trail loops through an excellent example of an Appalachian hardwood forest and a mountain laurel thicket along the slope of Pine Mountain Ridge. This rustic trail offers a moderately challenging walk in a secluded setting. The trees along the Pine Mountain Ridge were once predominantly longleaf pine. Today, along this trail you see what is primarily an oak and hickory forest. Hollis Quartzite, which is showcased in much of the original architecture at Callaway (especially the Ida Cason Callaway Memorial Chapel and the Callaway Gardens Country Store), can be found along the trail.
