Years ago, I participated in an orienteering competition and I was unable to find this location within the required period of time. When I joined the world of geocaching, I knew this would be the spot for my first hide. During that orienteering meet I was unable to find control (checkpoint) #13, thus the title. I spent the following weeks with my O-map, learning the most efficient way in and out of this location.
Before you leave the open fields, beware of the dog droppings. The law requires you to keep the dog on leash and to pick up the doo. You'll notice that many park visitors ignore this law.
The container was originally a small lock 'n' lock. Even before this cache was registered, snowshoe-wearing muggles were disturbing its natural cover. The initial inventory included a fin each for the first two cachers to find my first ever hide, an assortment of landsharkz pins, Adventures Disney pins, a road-race finisher's dog tag, a magnetic pen holder, and trackable items.
