This cache is located off of the Hojack Trail between Drumm Road
and Van Alstyne Road. Parking is available along the road (which
can be tough in the winter), but you can access the trail from
either end. There is a small path north of the the Hojack Trail and
east of the small stream. Please pay attention to the posted signs
that flank this area. There is no need to go past them.
The cache is a custom painted .50 caliber ammo can. It started
out with a hand warmer (I have a bottle of fluid for it, but it is
flammable, so I didn't put it in the cache), noise makers (to
celebrate the occasion), a poncho, a toy compass, and several
miscellaneous toys. There is a lammie for FTF as well as a special
lammie for The Mack4 to commemorate their 1,000 finds. Please
rehide this well. It is a golden ammo can, so it doesn't blend in
as much as my typical paint jobs.
There are also four ready-to-hide seedlings, complete with log
sheets and pencils. There are two smalls, a micro, and a nano. The
four seedlings (without the logbooks and pencils) form a sort of
Russian nesting doll of geocaches. The largest seedling is labeled
"M1", the next is labeled "M2", the next is "M3", and the smallest
is "M4". For those of you who may not know The Mack4, each of the
four family members goes by their "M-number". Dad is M1, mom is M2,
and the two kids are M3 and M4. If you take a seedling to place,
please include the "M-number" in the cache name.
Congratulations to The Mack4 on 1,000 finds as well as a
FTF on this cache!
