A quick cache and dash by Yate Railway station
This cache was originally placed by LinseyG and was adopted by Bristol Flyer and has now passed onto theoldspots and I hope to keep this going for a long time to come !
We have Motorway Mayhem. We have A-Road Anarchy (cos there aren’t many Motorways in Wales!). But what about public transport users? SideTracked Caches are intended to provide quick Cache-and-dashes at Train Stations.
SideTracked started at Evesham station on August 10th 2007, placed by schnarff & bikermel76. It took a while to get started, but is now spreading across the country!
Yate railway station serves the town of Yate in South Gloucestershire, in south west England. The station is located on the main Bristol to Birmingham line between Bristol Parkway and Cam & Dursley, and is operated by First Great Western.
The Yate station first opened on 8 July 1844 and closed on 4 January 1965. It was reopened on 11 May 1989.
In the Strategic Rail Authority’s 2005/06 financial year, Yate was ranked as the 1130th most-used station in the UK !
There is plenty of parking near by, but please note the restrictions and park sensibly - it is near a busy road.
