Two part multi. Middle school level math puzzle at part 1 gives coordinates for part 2.
Easy and good for kids.
There is playground equipment near the first stop and ice cream on the way to number 2. Ice Cream shop is open from mid March until December or so.... (Be careful along the main road if you walk.. There is a back alley that can be used for much of the trip between the stages and the ice cream shop along the way is entered from the back parking lot)
Part one: Read the date on the monument at the coordinates listed above.
Part two:
The container is a screw top powdered drink mix container. Consider parting with your smaller trinkets today. I recommend stopping for some ice cream between the stages. (Don't be a Turkey and settle for the first spot you see) Take a pencil and grab an extra napkin or two for your calculations. Also allow some time to read the walls. You will understand what I mean if you stop.
Now the fun part... Subtract 1121 from the date that was on the stone. This is your key number. Take 20.56% of that number and divide it by 1000, then add that to the minutes of the original Latitude coordinate. The rest of your number (nn.nn%) should be divided by 1000 and added to the minutes of Longitude. After you are refreshed and have checked your work you may continue to the final cache. Since you are adding to both longitude and latitude, you should have a good idea of the general way to go without looking at the GPS.
Approaches from the north or east avoid a difficult and potentially wet bushwhack.
Note: dogs are not allowed at stage 1, but you shouldn't be there long so they can stay in the car for a couple minutes then enjoy the rest of the walk.
