Geocache Description:

The northwest area of Vasquez Rocks County Park seemed strangely devoid of caches. I ventured out here anyway, and thought I'd give others a couple reasons to to the same. The park is open from 8-5 daily during winter hours, and 8-6 during the summer.

While this area of the park doesn't offer quite the spectacular rock formations that you will have seen near the parking, it's a nice place to get away from the more populated areas, and there are a few cool geological formations to see.

You're looking for a camo'd metal tin, approximately 6" in diameter. You will be able to get close to the cache by staying on the trails. No bushwhacking is required.

Good luck, and happy caching!
