Geocache Description:

Cache is about 100 foot walk from the road near the end of the line where two old Seaview train cabooses are in storage. Contains 2 TBs, a Patriots bracelet, 2 double A batteries and various foreign coins and a pen.

The Seaview Railroad runs in the former US Navy yard at Quonset Point or as some call it Davisville, in the town of North Kingstown, Rhode Island. Once home to the Navy Seabees, this is where the famed Quonset Hut was developed during World War II. Now used as an industrial park, the Navy yard and deep sea port are now owned by the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation with the Seaview as the designated operator of the old Navy Railroad. Goods coming in include lumber, lubricating oil, chemicals, granite, plastic, steel, and starting in October 1, 2007, autoracks with imported VWs from Mexico. Frozen fish from Sea Freeze being the major commodity outbound. Starting in 2008, Audis in autoracks going out. Autoracks made possible by the new 3rd rail project being completed in 2006 for clearance that the electrified Amtrak Northeast Corridor does not have. Access to the Seaview is via the Amtrak Northeast Corridor, and serviced by Providence and Worcester train PR3 on a daily basis. The above description was written by Ron Chouinard.

Congratulations to ~Marvalus for the FTF!
