A roosting pocket is a shelter which provides small birds
essential protection on cold nights to preserve body fat and enable
survival. In our climate, these can be quite useful! They can also
be used as nesting areas in the spring for smaller birds such as
wrens.
Glover Park offers up some nice ball fields, hiking trails, and
picnic shelters. Hours are 8am till sunset. Dogs are allowed on a
leash, but no alcoholic beverages are allowed.
