Half an Arboretum Traditional Cache

Davis Classics: First there was "Friends of the Arboretum," a multi-cache. A building was built on stage 1 so Half an Arboretum was born at Stage 2. A lot of construction and landscaping has happened at Half an Arboretum leaving at best another lamppost cache. Looks like it time for this to be retired.

Geocache Description:

Simple cache between some pleasant apartments and the site of an old nursery for the UC Davis Arboretum

Davis is blessed with a wonderful Arboretum running through the University Campus. Somewhere they have to raise the plants they use to refresh things. This cache used to begin at the gate of a nursery with the name of "Friends of the Arboretum" where presumably this happened. Now a new building stands on the spot of the nursery where stage one of a cache by the same name used to exist. This cache marks stage two of that old cache but it's still fun and the Arboretum is still a treasure.
