Gletness Point Traditional Cache

A walk out to the point of a ness providing lovely views. There is a climb over some rocks for short walk (on land) to cache. Will need to be careful in wet or stormy weather as rocks will become slippery. Terrain probably 2 in good weather, 3-3.5 in bad weather.
Good views of Noss, Bressay, Lerwick and the Isles of Gletness are provided at the cache site. It is not too long a walk to the cache and it is relatively flat, but some climbing (walking) across rocks make this unsuitable for buggies.
We parked at N60 14 602 W 001 09 339. From there follow the road down and around the bend to a small white house where you cross over some stiles leading down to the beach. Walk along the beach and then a narrow path beside the fence and cross over at a makeshift part of the fence made out of pallets (with light blue string). Cross over here and continue onto the cache. You will come to some rocks. Cross over these carefully and continue to the cache.
The cache is a small white container containing a log book, pencil and small items. Shetland weather can be very bad so please take care to replace cache carefully or in no time at all it will end up in Norway!
