Many thanks to turtle140 for the creation of this cache (Thanks Rodz) and rather than archiving the series in December 2009 offered it up for adopion by Papakas Pack for the continued enjoyment of cachers. Turtle’s Trail is a circular walk of about 4.5 miles and follows the Ridgeway for the first part of the loop and then picks up other footpaths/bridleways for the return leg if completed in numerical order. However the final walk from TT18 to the parking location is along a very quiet road so care should be taken with young children and dogs. There is only one stile to negotiate along the route between TT10 and TT11 but has a gap large enough for Labrador sized dog to pass through (will amend if not the case). This cache is in the same location as the now archived cache Ridgeway Run – Grims Ditch which unfortunately went missing but was kindly replaced in its current hiding place by Rodz hence the cache name. Parking can be found at either start of the bridleway on Swan’s way (2/3 cars) or by the church in Nuffield about ¼ of a mile from TT09.
