Geocache Description:

An easy micro-cache, handy for the St. Fagans Museum.

This is my first cache, assisted by kookiemonsters, in the historic village of St. Fagans and on the site of the former GWR/BR railway station which was closed in 1962. It is a 35mm film-holder micro cache. The cache search could be combined with "Orion (The hunter)" series.

Local points of interest are the St. Fagans Museum of Welsh Life and St. Fagans Castle both of which have free admission. The nearby pub, the Plymouth Arms, serves good food and ale at a reasonable price.

St. Fagans is known historically for being the site of a major battle (1648) during the English Civil War- the largest battle fought during that war on Welsh soil. A pleasant walk of approximately 5 miles close to the cache site can be found at (visit link) .

PLEASE NOTE: THE CACHE CAN BE REACHED SAFELY- PLEASE TAKE CARE WITH SMALL CHILDREN.
