The cache is placed along the Jones Creek Nature Trail. Depending on the condition of the trail, this can be a fairly easy hike or a muddy bushwhack with a water obstacle. I nudged the terrain rating back down from 4 to 3.5 since recent trail maintenance has made the trail much nicer. I still recommend old shoes and a walking stick.
Don't even think about bushwhacking in from the northeast. I tried that once and got about 200 feet into the woods before giving up. The amount of stickers and ticks was nightmarish.
Use plenty of bug spray during mosquito season. Beware of ticks, chiggers, and snakes. In the winter, you may also encounter the Latticed Stinkhorn mushroom! The cache is about a half-mile away from the parking area and trail head by the Pensacola Junior College Warrington Campus reachable from Hwy 98. That's a good place to begin your hunt. Look for a foot bridge at the end of one of the main roads that goes through the campus. As of 2012, there is a new boardwalk that starts in the west parking lot of the campus, crosses the creek, and meets the trail. That looks like the quickest way to reach the cache now. Other finders have used an alternate parking area on Patton Drive at N 30° 23.526, W 87° 17.352.
