Geocache Description:

The cache is a camouflaged micro. There is no room for a writing utensil, so BYOP. Cache may be large enough to hold a small geocoin. There are a few Pokémon Go Gyms and Pokestops in nearby Lubber Run Park.

The cache is across from a small strip mall, the Arlington Forest Shopping Center, which is set back off Arlington Boulevard. It was constructed in 1941, and originally contained a delicatessen, an A&P Food Store, a hardware store, a dry cleaner, a shoe repair, a beauty shop, an ESSO Gas Station and a People's Drug Store. Now the shopping center is home to several restaurants (Thai, pizza, coffee, and a busy “Australian” steakhouse) and a variety of other shops where the locals pick up their dry cleaning, get their hair and nails done, or rent something they don’t own.

The cache is in Arlington Forest Park. You might wonder why they don't mow the darn grass; well it is a Natural Resource Conservation Area and a prime example of a “Dry Gravel Cap – Xeric Oak / Poverty Oatgrass Glade.” Despite it being in an urbanized area, its native soils have not really been disturbed and it is dominated by a naturally short native grass that can tolerate dry and impoverished soils.
