Geocache Description:

Team Ninja’s 30th cache is Tour of Daylesford Version 2

Just before you start, to avoid confusion, if there are 2 or 3 brackets next to each other with equations in them you do NOT multiply the brackets together. The same rule applies if there is a letter or number infront of a set of brackets.

The cache coordinates will have you beside an information board at the picturesque Lake Daylesford. You will need to obtain the following information from it:
The distance to Central Springs: A metres
The distance to Wagga Spring: B metres
The distance to Sutton Spring: C metres
NOTE: The Information Board is currently missing. The numbers you require are A=380 B=510 C=780.

Your next waypoint is:
S 37° 20. (A+197) E 144°08.(B+10)

You will be outside the historic Daylesford Town Hall. Out the front is a small plaque, you will need to read it to fill in the gaps.

Constructed in 1883-8[Blank 1] for the Borough of Daylesford by the builder, George [Blank 2], to the design of architect George R. Johnson, who became an expert in town hall designs, specialising in grand classical compositions. This building is regarded as one of his most important country works, designed in the Victorian [Blank 3] Classical architectural style.
No. of letters in blank 1 = D
No. of letters in blank 2 = E
No. of letters in blank 3 = F

Your next waypoint is:
S 37° 20.(C-189) E 144° 0E.(D-5)(D+1)(F-7)

You should be standing around the back of the Wombat Hill tower. Underneath it is a plaque mounted on the concrete wall. You will need to find out:
Who the tower is dedicated to: No. of letters in the word = G
The year the tower was opened: Sum of all the numbers in the year = H

Your next waypoint is:
S 37°(H-1).491 E 144°09.19(G-3)

You will be outside Daylesford Railway Station. The railway line from Daylesford to Melbourne (via Woodend) closed in May 1978. A short section of the track from Daylesford to Bullarto has been re opened by the Central Highlands Tourist Railway. You should be standing on the platform. Nearby, just before the end of the line, should be a set of points which the trains use to cross from track to track.
If the set of points go only to the middle railway track, J=5
If the set of points cross the middle track and continue on to the 3rd track, J=6

Your next and final waypoint is:
S 37°23.(D-3)J(D-3) E. 144° 11.02E

It is about a 7 minute drive away in Musk. You should be infront of a small cairn. Find out:
What season of 1867 did the children disappear?
How many letters in the season = K

The cache is a nearby at:
S 37°23.(B-247) E 144°(F+3).(H-21)(J-3)(K-3)

I hope you enjoy this multi! Please watch out for wildlife and creepie crawlies when retrieving the cache, and please ensure that it is properly hidden before departure; no one likes it when a cache of theirs is muggled!

Please maintain the standard of the cache by placing high quality swaps only; please trade fair.

Overall the cache should take 1-2 hours depending on how long you spend at each location.

This cache was burnt in the bushfires early in 2009 and has been moved to a new location - please be careful not to damage the vegetation as you retrieve and replace the cache.

Stealth may be required in the new location if muggles are present.

Have fun!
