This lookout has fantastic views of Hill Inlet & Whitehaven Beach
Whitehaven Beach
Cache container is a 500ml plastic jar (covered in black duct tape),
and is located close to the lookout.
The Whitsunday Islands were formed by the raising of the water levels
and submerging the valleys of an old mountian range.
Although some people came by helicopter, the two most common transports
are by a day cruise, or by hiring a bareboat.
Access to the Tongue Point lookout is by mooring in Tongue Bay.
Take the well signed path to the lookout and enjoy the views.
The cache is hidden under the approach to the lookout.
We have included a photo of the cache location,
this is because it is better to spend most of your time enjoying the view,
rather than getting muggled while hunting around some rocks!
