This cache is located near the former location of a pig farm that used to operate near Penn Lake in Marathon.
This farm operated in circa 1950's by Mrs. Pat Blanch's husband and brothers. Thank-you to Rose for the additional information about the farm.
June 25/09: Information received with Harold G. - Later the Pig Farm area was owned by Chuck Thomson (electrician at the Marathon Pulp Mill) He was married to Lynne Stewartson. Thank-you to Harold for this information. I will update the description with more information about the farm as I find it.
The cache container is a medium-sized camouflaged lock-n-lock container.
Terrain in the winter will be a "4". Terrain in the summer is more like a "3". On the day I placed the cache, I had to snowshoe to the cache location. At one point when I was trying to turn around, one of my snow shoes came off and my leg sank into about 3 feet of snow. So there is a lot of snow in the bush this year. It may also be a little difficult getting to the cache even in the summer.
In other words - Bushwacking is required with the added feature of snow in the winter. Actually it may even be easier to get to the cache location in the winter. Please,
